    I would like to suggest that Facebook Connect is no longer a plug-in but a core part of the buddypress functionality

    I am familiar with the plug-in but I would like to suggest that you consider the Facebook Connect integration to be part of the core functionality and not as a plug-in.

      This is doable via a Wordpress plugin.

    I would like to allow users to login with their email address instead of username. Anyone else?

      I’ll second that and the email address login will allow for expansion later to provide multiple user names or profiles linked to a single email account
