@andy Some kind of privacy feature is needed to block mentions and posts from other users. I need a way to filter the posts from a specific user who floods the board with amen posts or uses foul language or is otherwise offensive etc. Without such a feature, an admin will spend time responding to numerous complaints and/or manually deleting posts…[Read more]

Wave a magic wand and let the name creation database take UPPERcase and lowerCase characters along with hyphens and underscores, otherwise BuddyPress won’t meet the needs of a high traffic site because it will run out of desirable user names.

If you can look at a 3-prong electric plug and know that it won’t fit into a 2-prong socket, you have enough sense to build a computer, a Web site, or Press a Word… Go for it!
