Just spotted a sort of bug – more an irritant. Go to blogs and enter a clue that won’t be found in the Seach box. Click the Search button and, as expected, and empty screen will appear. Had the same problem trying to figure this out over 6 months ago, the easiest way now is to use the regular wordpress install and install buddy press as a pluggin ….. just do a search in the pluggin directory for BUDDYPRESS.
I spent ages – perhaps a dozen re-installs – and just couldn’t get it to work.
