You can blog through BuddyPress, too, but I think it’s been disabled here. Out of the box, you can do a lot things already, but if you want more functionality, you can start by perusing this page… http://buddypress.org/extend/plugins/

is it just a one-time fee of 80 bucks to access that plugin + other stuff, or is there a monthly charge to maintain anti-splog?
In reply to - Glowstixx PHP posted an update: Just noticed blogs are now disabled. Good move I guess. Did the same on my site ’till I realized it doesn’t stop bots from signing up. I know it’s only a matter of time before we get status update bots… · View -

i actually made a theme that’s 960px wide and about 3 replies down for a comment, the content starts to get too slim, so i actually prefer the big width, too. like @glowstixx said, you can always create a child theme by following these set of instructables … http://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
In reply to - lexpression posted an update: sweet! one of my gripes about this theme is its unnecessarily wide aspect. Why so damn wide. I don’t like when the interface of a site remains bigger than the content. It’s about the content, not the interface. · View -
In reply to - Glowstixx PHP posted an update: Where do we post feature requests? Would love to have a ”mark as spammer” ajax link in the activity feed for admins, i get about 50 bot accounts a day
