Somehow a few of them are still able to register. Any idea what’s going on? Viewhold tight, these could have been sign-ups earlier, but only ”activated” after you installed, give it a few days. I run several groups on the web, and I present the code in those places, once we go to more beta/production level, we may have to rethink it, but for now it has certainly saved my sanity. Good luck!

Viewgood point, but I was inundated with reg-spam until I added this, I had one afterwards, but this was because they had already signed up but had not activated yet. They must know the code to sign up, this is why it works. Let me know if this solves your problem.

ViewNot sure why this keeps happening, but if you want to kill spam reg, the only 100% way I found was using this plugin: “Invitation Code Checker” By Dennis Morhardt. As he says, “With this plugin registrations are only allowed if the user has an invitation code. This plugin is only for WordPress MU and is BuddyPress compatible.”…[Read more]
