@rayray ya it sure does. BuddyPress is awesome, I can’t wait to dive in to the code hopefully this weekend. I have some ideas of how I could leverage this sort of social network in my hometown community.

I’m thinking I could use this in my hometown as a local facebook, so to speak. I know a lot of local businesses and restaurant owners that could benefit from a locally targeted ad network, and I know a few good writers that could add useful content. Is there a magazine theme / format available for BuddyPress?

  I know there are a couple of plugins that are supposed to BuddyPress your regular WordPress install, including your theme, but that’s all I can tell you. They are in the Codex for free download as plugins.
