@andy @simon2 – i was more thinking of keeping the forums (for detailed discussions) but rebuild them with the technology of the activity stream. In this way Forums would benefit from regular developments like ”Buddypress Like”, ”BP-Albums” ect. And we could directly reply from within the activity streams!

@andy – could we ditch bbpress as mentioned here (http://buddypress.org/forums/topic/forums-based-on-activity-items-instead-of-bbpress). Activity-Stream is so much more intuitive, it just needs an title option.

Just changed my Avatar – upload worked fine. I had to refresh after upload and the reply box still shows my old avatar. Maybe just an issue of caching?

  • Does anybody tried the @notification on Google Buzz – they have an auto complete feature! Once u type an @ and the first letters of users name the ”real name” and username (in googles case the users email} pops out! That would be great for Buddypress 1.3 :) I’m really looking forward to the ”BP 1.3 feature poll”!

21cdb posted a new activity comment: Great! That should make people more familar with the @username.
What about a jquery tooltip that shows the “@username” when you hover over users “Fullname” on the activity streams?

21cdb posted a new activity comment: i second the bp-events pugin. You could also use http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/buddypress-group-calendar as a starting point. That was new for me, but that should be allowed under GPL. 2 years ago
