    Love: BP can be used for almost absolutely anything. It’s not just a Facebook knock-off! And gotta love all that hard work The Devs put in, just to make something we all get to have for free. I don’t know why they do it lol.

    Hate: Lack of themes, and some good older plugins aren’t being developed anymore – they’re abandoned :( That really sucks. Especially the Links one – that one would have been awesome to have in BPv1.3.

    Anyone else?

    Love: BP really shows off what can be done with WordPress

    Hate: So many BuddyPress installs look the same. I’d really love for someone to make a theme that draws out one specific component and makes it pop.

    Can’t wait till all the major theme developers (Woothemes, etc.) start converting their themes and making their themes compatible, too!

    Love: BP is a playground full of bells and whistles and candy canes :-)

    Hate: Abandoned BP plugins. Outdated BP themes in WP Theme Repo.

    BuddyPress is relatively new compared to WordPress, but has been around for over 3 years. It’s just gone through several drastic growth spurts that we are recovering from with the next version (1.3) that will hopefully lead to a better and more stable experience going forward. :)
