Each group now has the option of a simple bbPress based forum.

BuddyPress actually talks to bbPress using the XML-RPC protocol. This means forums and posts can actually be fetched from a remote bbPress installation.

One of the biggest benefits of this is that you don’t have to create a bbPress theme to keep your forums in the same style as your site.

For the first version, the forums component will be very simple. You’ll have the option to start a new topic, and reply to a topic. As the component is developed, and bbPress extends its XML-RPC capabilities, more features like searching, tagging and group admin features will be introduced.

Please test out the forums by replying and starting new topics.

If you find you can’t post, or you find a bug, please post on the group wire.

Hi everyone… i’ve a question about BP Widget…
they are only availaible into a main blog?
isn’t possible add /amp/quot;member list/amp/quot; /amp/quot;group/amp/quot; and so on, into a seconday blog with a BPHome Theme?
