@guerrillabeauty Sounds like you have not created a .htaccess file in your root WordPress directory. If you update your permalinks again you will notice a message at the bottom of the page that tells you what you need to do.

@Andy Peatling Hi Andy, thanks for the swift reply! I have the permalinks set to use /%postname%/ – is that OK? I’ve just found a buddypress template pack in /wp-content/plugins/bp-template-pack/ however, the readme file in there seems to be saying that I just need to upload the plugin through the wordpress dashboard? I’ve installed BuddyPress and the BP Compatibility plugin. I now have a nice grey drop-down menu across the top of my webpage. However, when I click on any of the items in these drop down menus, nothing happens.
