facebook style ads would fit perfectly down the right hand side of buddypress sites and would monetize them too is there a plugin for that?
Hey there! Is there a ‘deactivate’ button to delete a message that got sent to ‘all members’? I see it on my site but don’t see it on the testbp site.
I’d like to test it before doing it, as I don’t want to deactivate my own membership, just the message.

@Terri – Are you referring to “Notices?” If so, the reason you see it on your site is because only site admins can send messages to all users. You should be able to delete it under
profile > messages > notices
my BP is not sending out verification emails despite hooking up the ‘mail from’ plugin and creating a new myname@mydomain email account. Having all sorts of problems with this as my members cannot register

Kenny, I edited your post above to remove your email address. Probably not wise to post it publicly since you’ll end up as a spam receptacle.
If your emails work normally, but this plugin does not, you’ll want to contact that plugin author directly for help. If BuddyPress fails to send emails, can you first confirm that normal WordPress emails go out?
oh no, the problem has resurfaced and once again verification emails are not being sent out.
I’m losing around 30 sign ups a day while this problem persists
