Trying out the bbPress plugin

May 3, 2011 in News

There’s a new version of bbPress currently in development, and it’s almost ready for prime time. It’s so close that we couldn’t help but give it a trial run here at testbp.org. As a general reminder, we use this site to test how things are working together, so don’t post anything important in these new forums that you’ll want to keep forever. We’ll be slowly integrating the new version of bbPress with the new version of BuddyPress, and you can watch it happen here. :)

Check out http://testbp.org/discussion/ to try it out!

Do you have the ability to search the member community through some sort of an “advanced search” capability (based on the fields the Network Creator sets up.) Ning does this well. Don’t know if you are able to provide this functionality or not. Thanks.

  5. Testing budypress…seems a smarty :)

  6. Hello. I am working on a 14+ city project for the Brazilian Community in the US – this application may work for us, yet wondering how to use it so all cities essentially would access the same BP? any ideas?

  7. Somehow I can’t create new topics or reply on other topics. Is there something wrong?

Also, is it possible to sort the forum overview by voices, posts or freshness?

Need more options and shut off features.

  29. Hi I am in the process of setting up our website for 2012 Project 12 and am a complete nubie at web site building. What is the difference between a regular Forum (which took me a week to work out how to install and get up and running) and this buddypress? Which do you think would be the best option for our web page? Should I use both or is that just too confusing?

Basically I want a venue where people all around the world can talk together about their entries into 2012 Project 12 and perhaps work together on combined projects. So what do you advise?

    LoVe Pauline
